Dance & Yoga in One Class for Mom & Baby

Mom&BabyDanceFlow offers a beautiful combination of relaxation techniques and energetic movement within one class. Great fun and restful rejuvenation for both Mom & Baby.

Class Description:

During Mom&BabyDanceFlow we will explore our innate and fundamental rhythm of moving. We will allow our children’s natural wisdom to guide our flow. When we return back to our essence “becoming child like” we can dissolve tension, become creative, and best of all enjoy life as it is.

While exploring ourselves through fast and slow movement, cardiovascular exercise and stillness, we will work our entire physiology. We will gain the ability to remain calm and present to whatever mood our baby is in. We will let go, have fun, and move to the flow of the music and baby.

Ages: Newborn to crawling
Current session's dance and music styles: African, Latin, jazz, contemporary, Hawaiian, belly dance, and Bollywood

Jayme Hernandez:
Jayme is a certified yoga instructor trained in the Kripalu tradition. In addition to her formal training. Jayme has been a yoga devotee for the last 15 years.

Jayme uses her intuition and experience to lead her classes. It is her intention to inspire and empower her students by helping them build a strong and profound yoga practice that will transcend in to daily life!

Jayme is continuously extending her practice through various workshops and experiences. In 2003 she completed the Mindful Meditation program by Jon Kabat-Zinn. In 2004 she traveled to the sacred island of Hawaii to study nutrition and spiritual life. She has recently had the grace to practice with internationally known teachers such as Sean Corn, David Swenson, and Rodney Yee. Her greatest yoga teacher thus far has been her daughter Leaya gratefully born November 2007.

Expect to develop a thorough understanding of your physical body, allowing this to be a doorway to your energetic life force and spiritual connection to all things.

Sofia Samper:
From a young age, Sofia trained in classical ballet and practiced yoga. Sofia believes that by allowing ourselves time to meditate and move to rhythms in new ways, we can explore our bodies and our vital energy, increasing our overall well-being. In her instructing she explores and incorporates the movements from modern dance, African dance, and flamenco, which she has practiced in Spain and Canada. Sofia is very pleased to be instructing mom and baby dance and to participate in creating a space for moms to connect, relax and be energized with their new baby.

Yoga Classes - Preparing & Enjoying Your Birth & Baby!

Mom and baby yoga is an integrated practice where both mom and baby benefit. Through meditation, breathing, and postures, we learn how to be present to however you and baby are feeling in an open and accepting way. In class we will address our physical, mental and emotional needs. The intention of this class is to give parents tools to help them be happy, healthy and relaxed in their moment to moment life. This class is suitable for babies 6weeks to crawling. No yoga experience required.

Prenatal Yoga with Jayme Hernandez

The intention of prenatal yoga is to prepare for your labor through the power of presence, breathing and voice vibration. Prenatal yoga is also a way to develop understanding to what is happening on a physical, mental and spiritual level. Each week we introduce a specific theme that relates to pregnancy for example: our minds, different stages of labor, being a parent. This class is an opportunity to let the go natural fear we hold and move towards acceptance and courage. Sharing a space with other mother's to be, feels extremely supportive. Prenatal yoga is suitable for any level of yoga. Second, third, fourth pregnancies welcome!

Private and semi-private prenatal yoga sessions available by appointment.

$65 = 1hour
$75 = 1.5 hours
